Autumn Now
By Damien Posterino
Summer songs are nowhere to be
seen, those joyful jamborees a long
distant echo. Tangled thoughts I cast
across the green, autumn now -
beautiful as any fresco. Tree
teardrops, floating yellow leaves,
falling, weeping, a dying quilt again.
Winds blow, they scatter like thieves,
vibrant little people running for a train.
