Something About Aquarius (Water & Wind)
By Cassidy Jones
Water is made to slip through your fingers
But I wanted to soak him in
Not just let it linger
Yet he dripped off my skin
Then put me through the wringer
Forget catching wind
It isn't much simpler
Just ask Donovan
And pale skies full of dreamers
I could float in his feelings
Twirl his hair with my fingers
Water begs big feelers, not big thinkers
And I couldn't bear
The fluidity he moved with
His presence was precarious
My reticence was useless
All that air in his head
Made him so fucking stupid
But something about Aquarius
Is driving me to dream lucid
He’s headed back north
I’m still running through the nights
He made me out to be a fantasy
Designated to moonlight
But I’m no Romona
Not just colors and flowers
His rose colored lenses
Fogged my true power
I despised your drunk eyes
That looked fatally forlorn
This outcome is no surprise
As water and wind make for a gnarly storm
Our blizzard of lust wasn’t meant to transform
